Pay 2012 Membership Dues

The Mason County OFA team is chugging along and expanding with team members from Lake Cushman, Union, Shelton, Grapeview and even Lakeland Village. Thanks to you, Mason County Democrats, we will soon have bumper stickers and t-shirts! Gobama!

Thanks to Libby Avery, we have an ongoing phone bank at Maple Glen in Shelton (opposite Mason General Hospital on 13th Loop Road) on Thursday nights from 5-8. Maple Glen provides coffee and cocoa and we provide time, computers, cell phones and camaraderie.

We are calling those who supported the President in 2008 (gave money, time, came to events, hosted parties) to see if they are still "in" today. Indeed, about 96% of those we contact throughout the State say they are! This means that there are only a mere 4% are not. But by the sound of it, the opposite could be construed! In fact, visualized by font size this difference is demonstrated below.
96% yes vs. 4% no
You can hardly see the 4% font--but the voices of the disappointed are heard in the land—everywhere and loudly—on FOX, of course, but also on CNN, MSNBC, and even our dear PBS. What they say about (single payer, Guantanamo, wall street mega-bonuses; Libya) obscures what has been accomplished. In fact the reality is that 96% of 2008 supporters in Washington State say, "Yes, I'm in Absolutely. I wouldn't want his job! Look at the mess he inherited. He's doing the best he can! He's done amazingly well with so much opposition. We avoided a depression. Thanks for calling. Keep up the good work." (Go to www.Recovery.gov to find out what we have accomplished! )
In Mason County we had a list of 656 people and we have contacted about 50%--still about 350 to go...So we can really use your help. (Dig Dig.) We plan to keep calling till we reach everyone! Join us!

We're trying to expand our team even more to be ready for 2012. Besides the Mason County Fair at the end of July, other upcoming events include OFA house parties (at Michael Siptroth's on July 5 and Judy Masick's soon thereafter) a National Day of Action on July 16 (we'll be registering voters at Allyn Days), and a big event for the President's Birthday on August 4. Join us! We'll also be working in concert with the Jay Inslee and Maria Cantwell campaigns! The more the merrier. Go to www.Mybarackobama.com to get involved! Check out phone banks, voter registration drives, house meetings and other upcoming events on Log on, click "Events" and then "Find Events" and put in your zip code. It's as easy as that!
