The next meeting of the Democratic Women’s Club is scheduled for Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at El Sarape in Gateway Center.  Lunch starts around 11:30 a.m. followed by a short business meeting and the program at noon. By popular demand,   Bob Appel, CEO of Mason General Hospital, will return and continue his discussion about current and future activities at the Hospital and our local medical community.

At our last meeting, Bob shared a wealth of information and graciously responded to so many questions from the group that he was unable to finish his presentation so he’s agreed to come back next month.  To facilitate his presentation, I’d appreciate your letting me know if you have any specific items you’d like to know about and he can then include them in his comments.  You can e-mail them to me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. It’s time for membership renewal so hopefully you’ll be able to bring your $15 dues next month.  And for those of you who plan ahead, the March meeting will be held on March 24th (the fourth Wednesday).  We haven’t identified the speaker yet, but we’re sure it will be worth your time and effort to attend.
