Mason County Democratic Women's Club Update - August 2010

The Democratic Women's Club will meet at El Sarape in Gateway Center on Wednesday, August 18, 2010.  A no host lunch begins at 11:30 a.m.  We are not planning a special program.  Rather after our business meeting at noon, we will discuss the results of the previous day's Primary Election and other political issues which come to mind.

In July, we had a large group gather to hear the three County Commissioner candidates speak.   Incumbent Ross Gallagher and challengers Brenda Hirschi and Laura Lewis all spoke about why they were running and gave updates on what they were hearing on the campaign trail.  They then participated in a lively session responding to questions raised from the floor.  It was an interesting meeting which provided even more insight into their individual positions on a wide range of issues.

Next month's meeting should also be one you won't want to miss as we'll have a better idea of what to look forward to as we move into the General Election cycle.  So plan to join us on August 18th!
