As the State Committeewoman for the 35th LD, I  represent the interests of our members to the State Party.  The next business meeting of the state committee  will take place in Seattle on January 29 & 30, 2010. If there are issues or questions that you want to see addressed by the state committee please get them to me or Dan Roy for the 35th, or for Mason County, Mike Mosbarger or Cathi Baily Bright.

If there are issues that you think merit resolutions we must have them in time to submit  in the proper format by Friday, January 22.  I look forward to hearing from you and/or seeing you at our meetings.

Two items already on the agenda for the state meeting are proposed amendments to the Washington State Democrats Charter and Bylaws and the nomination of Congressional candidates on January 30th.

The proposed amendments are mostly housekeeping.

At the WSDCC General Session on January 30th, the Washington State Democratic Central Committee will be selecting Democratic nominees for all or some of the nine Congressional Districts.  ... Local jurisdictions are encouraged to recommend candidates for their appropriate Congressional District(s) to their State Committee Members.
