The race in the "sunshine" got toughThe boys on each other were rough
Invectives and lies
Of "Foul" many cries
You'd think the voters had had enough
And rooty-toot-tooty
What happened to Newty
With wind in his sail
And Mitt looking pale
It looked like he'd win the Kewpie
And though it won't be coming soon
He'd put a base on the moon
It would be great
Perhaps, even a state
But Mitt said it was a looney tune
And then there were Ron Paul and Santorum
Who, with some grace and decorum
Though not two of a kind
They were left behind
Still some voters are still rooting for 'em
When the ballots were all in
It was Mitt with the big win
Leaving the rest in the dust
Now it's Nevada or bust
Alas, as we know, big money talks
It decides who runs and who walks
And in the end
As they came round the bend
Romney had the key to the locks.
But Mitt has a problem of late
What he said of the poor wasn't great
"They're doing okay"
Wrong thing to say?
We watch as Newt rises to the bait.
Newt'd be the president for all
He said...tossing Mitt the a curve ball
In to the convention
That's his intention
If voters ring he'll take the call
