Pay 2010 Membership Dues

Each year Washington State Democrats gathers to honor the work of and dedication of Democrats from around the state at the Warren G. Magnuson Awards Ceremony, also known as the Maggies. The Maggies will be held sometime in September or October in Seattle. We will announce the date once a speaker is confirmed.

This year we are planning to do something new and exciting at the Maggies. We would like to put together a video about all of the award winners. That means we need to hear from you. Please useicon Maggies - Nomination Form (67 kB) to send in your nominations by Sept. 10th.

Here are several fine resources, especially for those who haven't met and spoken with all the candidates.

  • The Mason County Auditor and Secretary of State have posted an Online Voter's Guide with written candidate statements.
  • KMAS radio and MasonCountyDailyNews.com have published a Video Voter Guide with presentations from almost all the candidates for local office.
  • The League of Women Voters has published a brochure "They Represent You" listing elected officials and their contact information.
  • Voting for Judges describes, guess what?, the judicial candidates in this fall's elections.
  • And of course, Mason County Democrats have candidate information and contacts at our Candidate Page.
My respect for anyone who has run for a public office has grown considerably these last few months. This indeed is a tough job interview. I have enjoyed many of the great people I have met. I respect the concerns and questions they have felt comfortable asking me.
