I started my career in the Treasurer’s Office through a Shelton High School work program in 1979, and have had the privilege to serve as Treasurer to the taxpayers and residents of the Mason County since 2001.

As the custodian of all funds for the county and special purpose districts, the Treasurer provides essential services in connection with the financial operation of local government.  Primary responsibilities include: the safety and liquidity of pubic funds, billing, collecting and distributing property taxes, special assessments, excise taxes, gambling taxes, and miscellaneous receipts.  Accounting for all funds and deposits of revenue for the State, County, City and Junior Taxing Districts (e.g., schools, fire and ports).  Administering short and long term debt financing, cash management, Investing of monies and managing the provision of banking services for the County and Junior Taxing Districts.
