OFA Mason County Team

Over the past few months our team has been working to help strengthen OFA teams in Kitsap and Clark County through phone bank blitzes and 1 on 1s. Now it is time we focus on getting Mason County ready for our important County, State and National elections by recruiting more volunteers in our area. This means calling supporters, setting up 1 on 1s and expanding our Mason County team. We will discuss how and set up some phone bank schedules at our monthly OFA meeting

Jeff Davis, 43, of rural Thurston County, is announcing his candidacy for State Representative in the 35th District for the position currently held by Representative Fred Finn, who has indicated he will not seek re-election next year.

Davis says, "We know that these are challenging and uncertain economic times for all of us. We must work together to come up with solutions on how to put people back to work in our state.

The next meeting of the Democratic Women's Club is set for Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at El Sarape Restaurant. As you probably know, we cancelled our January meeting because of all the beautiful white stuff on the ground. So we're going to try again to hear from Terri Shaw of our local Mason County Senior Activities Center about the Center's current activities and the organization's capital campaign for a new facility at the old PUD complex. Lunch begins at 11:30 am with the program following a short business meeting at noon.
