6th Congressional District Caucus Information

From Lynda Foster:

Hi Democrats,

I have gotten a lot of questions about the 6th CD caucus, here are some answers:

Where is it?

House of Awakened Culture (Suquamish Community House)
7235 NE Pkwy, Suquamish, WA 98392

I visited it and it was easy to find. It has a parking lot out back and street parking. If enough guests stay at the hotel they may set up a shuttle.

When is it?

May 21st, doors open at 10:00 am the caucus starts at 11:00 am.

Do you need volunteers?

Yes! Right now I’m keeping a list of names, if you are interested in being on it or know people who are I will add them and follow up towards the end of the month with more details.

Can we donate money?

Yes! Coffee and lunch will be provided for guests, which much of it donated. Please do not bring food day of as a donation. If you would like to donate I will ask you to send checks directly to the casino, let me know and I’ll send you information. Sponsors will be recognized at the event.

How are delegates elected?

I have an email out to Greg at the state party and am trying to meet with him this Thursday to get exact details. They haven’t sent us anything yet. I’ve also been setting up meetings across the state with other CD representatives to hear about past years and get best practices assembled. After this weekend the state party will probably have more time to work on CD stuff and I’ll have more details for you soon.

What are hotel accommodations?

The Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort is offering a deal for caucus attendees. Individuals can call the main line at any time at 866-609-8700 and press “2” for a guest service agent. They need to reference the “6th Congressional District Democrats” to be added to the block at the group rate. They can also go on-line to www.clearwatercasino.com and use the Group ID 9763 and password 37001583 to be added to the block.

Resort non-view rooms are $134, Tower non-view rooms are $97 and Tower northwest-view rooms are $112.

Any key question that I missed? Let me know.
